Carpet & Furniture Cleaning FAQs
It is advisable to limit the amount of walking to a minimum or stay off the carpet until completely dry as this will affect the pile and the texture once dry.
Does the room have to be completely empty of all of its furniture?
If most ornaments and the small furniture are removed, this will make the cleaning
more thorough. Sofas we can move. However, if the furniture is too heavy for you
to move this is no problem as we will be happy to help at no extra charge.
What is your availability?
Obviously, this depends on how busy we are but if it is an urgent job, we will
do our very best to get to you as soon as possible.
I have a wool carpet, do you clean these in the same way as a synthetic carpet?
Yes. The carpet is cleaned in the same way except all chemicals used are wool safe
approved. This stops colour change and shrinkage and will leave the carpet
supple and not stripped of the wool’s natural goodness. However, it will take
longer to dry.
Are you a trained and qualified carpet cleaner?
Yes.Trained and qualified with ProChem in 2005. The course
covered many different types of carpets and methods of cleaning. Training also
included the use of machinery and chemicals to get the best results for you and
your carpets.
How long will my carpet take to dry?
This depends on many different factors such as depth of carpet, how much air flow
there is through the property and the type of carpet it is - i.e. wool,
synthetic or a mixture of the two. Synthetic carpets tend to dry much quicker
than wool (approx 2-4 hours).
Are the chemicals you use safe for my pets and children?
Once the detergent has been rinsed out of the carpet, they are perfectly safe for
children and pets to crawl or walk on.
